Measuring a Site

03rd Aug 2016

Measuring the area where your new turf is to be laid is easy.

Always remember to allow an extra 5-10% on your order for contingencies. It is better to have a little left over, than not enough.

To calculate the amount of turf required for a:

RECTANGLE OR SQUARE

multiply length by the width

e.g length is 10m, width is 6m

10 x 6 = 60m2

CIRCLE

multiply the radius x itself x 3.14

e.g radius is 4m

4 x 4 x 3.14 =50m2

TRIANGLE

multiply base x height divided by 2

e.g base is 17m, height is 11m

17 x 11 -:2  = 93.5m2
