Winter Preparation 2022

With a couple of light frosts hitting the turf recently, it was once again, time to start putting out the Frost blanket. We only put it on the Sir Walter as the Kikuyu doesn’t like being under shade.

There is still lots more to put out before Winter kicks into gear. Our dog Mouse was very helpful, NOT!

We also had a cousin decide to fly in on our turf (kikuyu) for a visit last week, which was something different. There was plenty of space for landing, taking off was a bit tricky though as the turf was creating a bit of drag on the wheels.

Note: Your lawn will handle Winter better, if it is kept short and the soil moist.
